How can family law counselling help you?

Those experiencing the Family Law system often find it stressful and debilitating. We provide counselling to those engaged in formal legal proceedings.

• R&L helps surrogates and intended parents explore the implications of a surrogacy arrangement, and provides ongoing therapeutic work to resolve any conflicts or difficulties between parties.

• Improve the health of your relationship after an order has been put in place (KTP, FVO, PFVO) by addressing unhealthy and dangerous communication and conflict.

• Coping strategies and support to reduce the impacts of a family law process.

PROCESS

Family Law Couples Counselling

1. Orders will need to be emailed through to info@robertsonandling.com.au prior to your intake appointment. 

2. Following this, both individuals will need to attend an individual intake and assessment appointment.

   This helps us gain a thorough understanding of your perspective of the relationships, along with completing our screening and assessment process. There is no need to complete any additional questionnaires/paperwork before your session; all required information is gathered during our initial consultation.

3. Your therapist will then confirm if couples work is an appropriate fit for your circumstances.  

4. You may then book and attend couples appointments - this can be organised directly through your counsellor, or via the online booking system.*
   

Surrogacy Counselling

1. All individuals will need to book their own intake and assessment appointment. Intended parents can book an intake appointment together.
   
   This helps us gain a thorough understanding of your perspective of the relationships, along with completing our screening and assessment process. There is no need to complete any additional questionnaires/paperwork before your session, all required information is gathered during our initial consultation.

2. Following this appointment, you may book and attend a group surrogacy appointment. This can be organised directly through your counsellor, or via the online booking system.*

Please note our cancellation policy: in the instance you do not provide 24 hrs notice for rescheduling or cancelling appointments, Robertson & Ling charges 50 % of the service fee.
